MR. JASON ALLEN

Partner

Jason is passionate about the intersection of business and the law. Jason leverages his experience in both the legal and business arenas to provide effective counsel to his clients. With experience spanning from working for Fortune 500 companies to helping nonprofit startups obtain 501(c)(3) status, Jason can attest that any business, no matter its size, benefits from sound legal advice.

Jason attended the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, where he double-majored in Accounting and Finance while earning his B.S. with Business Honors. During his undergraduate years, Jason completed multiple internships with multinational corporations and developed an in-depth knowledge of financial analysis, tax planning, audit procedures, and other crucial business functions. He brings this familiarity with business principles into his legal practice, allowing him to “speak the language” of the business owner or entrepreneur.

Jason stayed in Bloomington to pursue his law degree. His legal studies focused on corporate, administrative, and tax law. His classroom experiences were augmented by a judicial clerkship, an internship with the in-house counsel department of a Fortune 500 company, and a clinician position at the Indiana University Nonprofit Legal Clinic. He also served on the Editorial Board of the Indiana University Journal of Law and Social Equality.

In his free time, Jason served as a research assistant to three of the nation’s foremost scholars in their respective fields: Dr. Timothy L. Fort, a renowned authority in the field of business ethics, Professor William Henderson, an influential figure in legal education policymaking, and Dr. Scott J. Shackelford, an expert in cyber-security and Internet law.
